July 22

Four day before my birthday. Like always Mother don't seem to remember, being more focused on praising Sister to everyone. She received a letter last week from her, announcing that the Police Chief   has been found Dead and that she was appointed to replace him. I don't understand why mother keep telling that sister did a good Job on him, yet she seem Prouder than Usual. Maybe she will Forget about me.

Today i saw her again outside, She was playing whit all the other kid. i wish i could go out and play too, but if Mother was to learn about it, she would send me again to the Punishment Room. Today she was wearing a blue dress, and her hair where flying in the wind. I wish i could talk to her. For the first time i think she saw me, that why i am keeping my Window closed to make sure she don't see me again. Mother said that nobody must know i am here, else the mean man will come to get me. Yet i don't understand why Sister can go out and not me. Maybe I will ask nannie why.

Like i thought, mother see me of the day, and didn't remember my birthday. Maybe she will forget. O Dear Lady Death, please let her forget. If she forget about it, i promise to pray you every Night for the rest of my life.

Before going to bed, i asked to nannie why mother didn't like me. She said that Mother loved me, as much as she loved Sister. She lied as always, but i don't care, i love nannie, she gentle to me. Before sleeping i prayed Lady Death to make Mother forget.

July 23

This Morning Mother was Angry. She said something about an Investigation on the Death of the Police Chief. I don't understand why she is angry, but it would be better if I didn't get out of my room. If she see me she will find any reason to send me to the Punishment room, and I don't want to go back inside.

While reading he book Nannie gave me, I have heard noise in my Window. When I looked to see what it was, I saw her, throwing rock on my window. Why is she doing that ? I didn't look much, but I think that she saw me. She was wearing her brown pant and her red shirt today. I tried to keep reading, but she kept throwing rock in my window. I fear Mother see her and do mean think to her.

Not long after Dinner, Mother left the house in a Hurry. Nannie said that she was going to see Sister in  Paris. Maybe I will be able to leave the room. Sadly, nannies said that Brother will come back Tonight. I dont want him to come back, I know he will beat me. Sometime I wish Mother, Sister and Brother died, like Father. Then it would be me and Nannie.

Im Hiding under my bed, maybe Brother wont find me. I know he is here, I have heard him being Mean to Nannie. He said that Nannie was a Bastard, a girl of Whore. I will ask later Nannies what a Bastard and a Whore are.

Today Nannie was sad, yet all day she kept playing whit me. I wonder why ? She gave me my Birthday gift, a small doll that look like her. She told me to never lose it, and that no matter what would happen, she would always love me. Im scared, is Nannies leaving ? I dont want her to leave, I want her to be forever whit me.

Today I am 12 year old. Its raining outside and Nannie didnt wake me up. I think that I Have heard Mother and Sister Figthing. Mother said that today was my birthday, and that it was time for me to become a Man. Sister said I was not ready, but Brother said that I would never be. What are they talking about ?
