Cellvas were the creatures that introduced us to the strange Alien element. They are structured much like a giant cell. They consist of a large brain in the center and two layers of thick jelly. Around the layers of jelly, a thin layer of carapace holds the creature together. They can control the hardness of the carapace to permit certain objects to enter its jelly. The outer jelly acts as an all-purpose organ; fighting bacteria, digesting food, absorbing oxygen, and much more. The inner jelly gets to decide what reaches the brain, permitting nutrients but blocking harmful chemicals.
