Description This has been one of my latest headcanons in which I link Disney's Robin Hood with not only Zootopia, but also The Legends of Treasure Island and Sonic the Hedgehog. We all know about the Zootopia and Robin Hood connection with Robin Hood and Nick Wilde, but for the inclusion of Sonic and The Legends of Treasure Island, there has been some fan theories that The Legends of Treasure Island is possibly a spiritual prequel to Sonic, and I think it makes some sense, I mean, they got similar character design style, both franchises are set in a world with anthropomorphic animals and even some human or human-like characters in the mix, and with Jane being a fox, she could be a possible ancestor to Tails. With all these ideas conjuring up in my mind, I shall lay out how the line goes down.

So here we start with Robin Hood, the heroic fox who stood against the tyranny of Prince John and helped out the oppressed villagers of Nottingham in their time of need, and the legend takes place in late 12th century England, wherein King Richard, the true ruler, was hypnotised by Prince John and Sir Hiss to take part in the Third Crusade, and in his absence, Prince John took over and began his reign of terror, only to be eventually defeated by Robin Hood.

Now, centuries later, we come to the mid-18th century, where a young teenage vixen named Jane was such an irrepressible girl that her family could not handle her. She was then kidnapped for ransom by a notorious pirate named Long John Silver, but because of how troublesome she was, Jane's family did not give Long John the money, seeing it as a deserved punishment for her behaviour. The pirate was stuck with her and she was forced to do menial tasks for his crew, but eventually, fate would bring her to freedom when she met an expedition crew led by Jim Hawkins and Captain Smollett who were on a voyage to search for an island said to have buried treasure somewhere, and they were captured by Long John who is after the treasure himself. Seeing it as an opportunity to get out of her situation, Jane frees Jim Hawkins and his expedition crew, and she joined them on their quest to find the treasure, but not without constantly dealing with Long John Silver. Jane would undergo development, becoming less insufferable and more amicable and cooperative throughout the adventures, forming a close friendship with Jim, and she would finally prove her heroism when she defeats the true ringleader of Long John's machinations, Pew, avenging Captain Smollett who was murdered by Pew. Having finally found the coveted treasure, Jane, Jim, and the remaining members of the expedition returned home to England.

Finally comes the modern age. At some point in time, the family line had split, and from one branch is a family where Miles "Tails" Prower would descend from, while another is a family in which the descendant is Nicholas "Nick" Piberius Wilde. Tails had already begun showing potential for heroism at a very young age, establishing himself as a child prodigy when he started building inventions and protecting Cocoa Island from the Kukku Army Invasion. He eventually met Sonic, and impressed by the blue hedgehog's speed and confidence, follows him around hoping to catch up with him as he aspires to be like him. Throughout the adventures, Tails would come face to face with Sonic's arch-nemesis Dr. Eggman, and while Sonic did most of saving the earth from the evil scientist, Tails helped out too, but he would finally prove himself when he saved Station Square from being destroyed. Tails no longer aspired to be like Sonic, realising that he is a gentle and shy, yet smart and inventive fox, so he puts more time in creating machineries and other gadgets helpful to Sonic and his friends as they continue thwarting Eggman's goals for world domination. It's not until a time of peace where he meets and gets together with Blaze the Cat, and after finally stopping Eggman and Metal Sonic for the final time with the help of his friends, both old and new, Tails had truly flourished and has become a proud father as he and Blaze started a family having two kids with her.

As for Nick Wilde, he dreamed of more than anything else in the world to be a scout, but his dreams were tragically crushed after getting bullied by a group of scouts who were prey species as they mocked him for being a fox, driving him to life of hustling which he started when he was only 12 years old. Things would turn around for Nick 20 years later when he gets roped by aspiring rabbit police officer Judy Hopps into solving a case with her on the missing Zootopia residents, one of which was an otter named Emmett Otterton. Nick grudgingly accepts, but also attempts to sabotage Judy by sending her on a wild goose chase, only to feel guilt and shame when he saw her nearly lose her badge, reminding him of the injustice he went through as a cub. Coming to her defense, Nick reminds Chief Bogo how Judy still has a day left to solve the case, and through some bonding, they came to reach an understanding and then finally uncovering a conspiracy by Dawn Bellwether to turn all the predator citizens of Zootopia savage to sow distrust between prey and predators, and thanks to some quick thinking, Nick and Judy exposed Bellwether's crimes, putting her behind bars and restoring peace to Zootopia, and it wasn't long before he was promoted to being a police officer, and he worked closely with Judy.

So what do you guys think? Isn't this like some kind of legacy going on here or what? I think it's very neat, and kinda makes it seem like as if both Nick and Tails have been carrying over the spirit and heroism of their ancestor Robin Hood. If they are related, I can see them being distant cousins or something along those lines, plus given how Nick, Jane and Robin are foxes that wear green, I've always envisioned Tails as an adult wearing some green clothing as well. This was so much fun to do, tying all the franchises together to form like a cohesive story about a family of foxes who hailed from a legendary hero from the Middle Ages.
