Description Hello, everyone. Since I'm in the Zootopia fever, I felt like doing a top 10 list, but this is going to be rather special. This is going to be a duology. Two different top 10 lists, each tackling a respected species that appeared in the movie. First up will be my top 10 favourite foxes. Although I may be more into felines and dragons, when it comes to canines, I have a soft spot for foxes. They're cute, adorable, precious, and regarded as one of the most intelligent creatures in the animal kingdom. With that said and done, I'll be counting down my favourite fox characters. Let's begin, shall we?

#10: Eevee (Pokémon)
Eevee is considered to be a very unique Pokémon. The reason for that is that it can evolve into a multitude of forms, depending on certain things you do with it. Like, take the first thee evolutions Flareon, Jolteon, and Vaporeon. Eevee can evolve into either of them if you have it come in contact with the Fire Stone, Thunder Stone, or Water Stone respectively. The next two evolutions, Espeon and Umbreon, are a different case. You have to max out Eevee's friendliness towards you then level it up, and it will evolve into either of the two depending on the day phases (morning/day for Espeon and night for Umbreon). The other ways to evolve Eevee continues with Leafeon, Glaceon, and Sylveon. Sure enough, it's possible that Eevee will get more evolutions in the future, but I guess we'll never know. Eevee, a beloved Pokémon that remains one of the biggest enigmas in the franchise.

#9: Honest John (Pinocchio)
John Worthington Foulfellow, better known as Honest John, is one of the most recognisable Disney villains of all time. He and his lackey Gideon the Cat are always making get-rich-quick scams, and Pinocchio has been conned twice by them. But in spite of being a sleazy conman, Honest John has a rather charming aura, and he is also shown to have limits to how low he would go, especially during the infamous tavern scene when he and Gideon were accepting the evil Coachman's offer to bring as many naughty boys for him to take to Pleasure Island for a handsome payment. That sums up Honest John, he's a smooth-talking, smarmy, underhanded, devious scoundrel. He knows it, and he's proud of it.

#8: Renamon (Digimon)
Next to Leomon and Guilmon, Renamon is another favourite of mine from Digimon Tamers. She was Rika's partner, though they started off not being that close to each other, but they eventually became firm partners as they saved each other several times. Renamon is intelligent, compassionate, wise, headstrong, and supportive towards her fellow Digimon, though she has a bit of a love-hate relationship with Impmon. She is also quite honourable as she prefers not to engage in battles that weren't hers in the first place. Renamon is undeniably cute as she is powerful, and has helped her fellow Digimon and even her human friends.

#7: Krystal (Star Fox)
Star Fox Adventures has long since been my first experience with the franchise, and even though I haven't played a great deal amount of it, I actually enjoy the game very much. It had a great setting, a good story, funny moments, and of course, it was developed by Rareware, making it the last game they made for Nintendo before moving to Microsoft. But enough of that, Krystal is a welcome addition to the cast of characters in the Star Fox mythos. She is strong, determined, and tries to help out the inhabitants of Dinosaur Planet, which wouldn't have been possible without the aid of Fox McCloud, who eventually becomes her love interest during the course of the Star Fox Adventures story. Since then, she has been a new member of Fox's crew, and they also have started a family as of Star Fox Command.

#6: Tod (The Fox and the Hound)
This is yet another Disney film I have fond memories with. It packs a huge emotional wallop as Tod was orphaned as a little cub when her mother was shot by hunters. Then, thanks to Big Mama, Boomer, and Dinky, he was taken care of by Widow Tweed, and he eventually befriends a hound puppy named Copper, unaware that his master Amos Slade is a hunter who intends to train him into a hunting dog, which would result in them being enemies to each other when they're all grown up and he is then forced to live on his own in the animal preserve. To sum things up, Tod is playful, optimistic, kind-hearted, and friendly, and he is lucky to have found his love interest Vixey.

#5: Robin Hood (Robin Hood)
Although there's a lot of adaptations of Robin Hood, the 1973 Disney adaptation is possibly the best one ever, most likely cause all the characters are depicted as animals, like we have a badger as Friar Tuck, a wolf as the Sheriff of Nottingham, lions as Prince John and King Richard, a bear as Little John, and course, foxes for Robin Hood and Maid Marian. True to the original character, Robin Hood is cunning, shrewd, savvy, and stands up for the downtrodden as he helps out the poverty-stricken populace as they're oppressed by the greedy and dastardly Prince John. As a master of disguise, his keen intellect and cleverness really fits the fox species he is portrayed as which we also see from some of the other fictional foxes. Kudos to the late Brian Bedford for doing a good voice for Robin Hood, may he rest in peace.

#4: Fennekin (Pokémon)
Generation VI of Pokémon may have drastically changed the gameplay style we were so used to, but it yielded some good aspects, like the Kalos region, more Pokémon, and greater adventures. I have a tough time deciding over which is my most favourite starter of Generation VI as I think Froakie is cool, but Fennekin is just so adorable. In fact, I think the evolved forms Braixen and Delphox deserve just as much praise as they're potentially strong. We have come a long way from fire-breathing dinosaurs that become dragons to the Fire/Fighting hybrids of Generations III to V. For the first time, we get a Fire starter that eventually becomes a Fire/Psychic type in the form of a fox. Fennekin is probably my second-favourite Fire starter after the dino Charmander. Cute, awesome, strong, and unique sums up the family overall.

#3: Fox McCloud (Star Fox)
I remember playing as Fox several times in N64 Super Smash Bros and Super Smash Bros Melee, so I got a bit of a taste of Star Fox before fully experiencing it with Star Fox Adventures, and I've got to say that Fox McCloud is one of the best video game mascots Nintendo has to offer. He's cocky, confident, sly, adventurous and an ass-kicking space traveller. He has some rather nifty poses and some awesome moves, particularly the Fire Fox. It's a shame that we don't get as many Star Fox titles as say Mario and Pokémon, and it would be nice to see more of Fox and his crew. Star Fox has all the hallmarks of the classic adventurous hero who is ready to kick butt and I find him to be far more engaging and intriguing than Mario.

#2: Miles "Tails" Prower (Sonic the Hedgehog)
Yes, the cute and lovable Miles Prower, better known as Tails, was the one character who got me into foxes. Out of all the Sonic characters, Tails is sweet, shy, timid, kind, and friendly. He is also very brainy with an innate affinity for machines which rivals that of the evil Dr. Eggman. Additionally, his two tails enable him to fly. What makes Tails one of my most favourite Sonic characters is that he has undergone character development as at first, he always looked up to Sonic and wanted to be like him, but as time went on, Tails begins to find his own voice and even became a hero in his own right, particularly when he successfully saved Station Square from being nuked by Eggman in Sonic Adventure, and since then, he would become more independent and self-sufficient. So that's Tails, a smart yet shy nerd who always believes in himself and helps out his friends and allies in need. In so many ways, especially his timid personality, I'm a lot like him.

#1: Nick Wilde (Zootopia)
Miles "Tails" Prower has for a long time been my #1 favourite fox, but now that I have seen Zootopia, I can say that the title now goes to Nick Wilde. I like how at first he seems to be an arrogant con-artist who makes a living out of selling popsicles used from popsicles bought from other shops (including the used sticks being sold as redwood) along with his partner-in-crime Fennick, but later on as we learn more about him, he reveals that he had a rather difficult childhood as when he was a pup, he wanted to be a scout, but was mercilessly bullied by the other animals not only because he was a predator species, but also because he was a fox, thus making him untrustworthy in their eyes. It was when he also learns how he and Judy Hopps shared similar ambitions and life goals but was told by others that they're not for what they strive for. He eventually develops into a nicer and more open-minded character as he helps Judy in solving a mystery which leads to unravelling a conspiracy that threatens the peace of Zootopia.

Honourable Mentions
Fox and Bold (Animals of Farthing Wood)
Vulpix/Ninetales (Pokémon)
Mr. Fox (Fantastic Mr. Fox)
Maid Marian (Robin Hood)
Vixey (The Fox and the Hound)
Gideon Grey (Zootopia)
Rusty (Chucklewood Critters)
Rita (Jungledyret Hugo)

So that's my top 10 foxes list, but that's not all. There's yet another top 10 list coming up next.

I especially like Eevee, Nick and Tails

Eevee, so cute and can evolve into one of many different pokemon of a specific type and they are all so adorable. My team in all my pokemon games is never complete without eevee, I always want an eevee whenever I get a new pokemon game. Eevee and it's evolutions are just so desirable for me

Tails, only heartless people hate tails, he's just so sweet, smart, helpful and cute, he also has twin tails that let him fly. He's the one fox from my childhood I grew up with, and I always liked playing as him more than Sonic. Tails should be the fox everyone is most familiar with, he's really iconic.

Nick, he's what made me fall madly in love with foxes all over again, I'm embarrassed to admit I had a crush on him for sometime, he's the most interesting character in Zootopia despite my favorite character being Judy. I'm surprised you didn't include Finnick in honorable mentions. He's really funny, adorable and just as cool as Nick

Out of all of Eevee's evolutions, my most favourite is Espeon.

Even I play as Tails more than I do as Sonic. ^^ You know, since Sonic and MLP tend to get mashed together in the fandom, I see Fluttershy as the Tails of the group, and I even had Tails represent the Element of Kindness in an Elements of Harmony meme which I'll link right here. ^^

Finnick's cool, but I like Gideon and Nick more. Oh yes, and some fans believe Nick may be a descendant of Robin Hood, which I believe as well. ^^

Nick Wilde before he met Judy Hopps, probably would have been friends with Honest John Foulfellow, and foulfellow would probably help Nick with his schemes along with Finnick.

I haven't played Sly Cooper, so that's why she's not on the list.

Yeah, foxes are one of my favourite animals next to lions, dragons, dinosaurs, crocodilians, and bears.

Krystal on #7? Are you drunk? XD... in my opinion she should be on #2 followed by fox and then the rest but indeed Nick has to be on #1 as new all time Disney Hero 😆

Well, I kinda like the other foxes I listed over her. Mhmmmm, Nick sure deserves being the #1.

Here's some more info on Tails... :3 He lead his own team of Tails-bot, Bunnie, and Antonie, and defeated the Battle Bird Armada. Also he boxed Sonic into a corner.

I'm glad you pointed those out, though I was focusing more on the canon of the games, not the comics since I never read them.

Oh, cause it's funny, you see people say the comics aren't canon. But in the comics, they have shown adventures that either happen before, during, and after certain adventures from the actual canon Sonic game series.

All these foxes are awesome although a few I'm not too familiar with. Nick's an awesome character btw. I love foxes in general also. Here in the UK, we have foxhunting what really annoys me and I really hate with a passion.

Yeah, I think foxhunting should be banned, because it is cruel, inhumane, and killing a fox is the same as killing a dog.
