Description
Today I had a very sudden urge to watch/draw Digimon so I designed some new ones for Adventure. I planned on doing full-colour drawings of these with their partners before showing them but I'm probably never going to get round to doing any/all/some of them so here they are all sketchy-sketched anyway! ALL of these Digimon (minus one special one which I haven't designed yet) are the partners of the Digidestined's children in the final scene of Digimon Adventure 2
I'm kind of on the fence about the ending so I've changed it for myself a little bit (ie. only the Digidestined and their families and stuff know about the Digital World/everyone in the world doesn't suddenly get their own Digimon, age/appearance of the 'new' kids etc)Just because, here's some quick info and stuff about them.
Sharpmon is a little dino VERY similar to Agumon, and he's partnered to Tai's son (who I've named Thomas/Tommy)
Skollmon is a pink-furred wolf who evolves from Yokomon, and she's partnered to Matt and Sora's daughter (I've always thought her name should be Nikki haha)
Marimon is a flower-plant digi who is partnered to TK's son, Miles (I have a reason for this and it's gonna be awesome to tell!)
Winmon is a little dragon-like digi who is partnered to Davis' son, Cato (ironically I didn't realise that the symbol on his head was a 'w' when I drew him, but it worked out awesomely)
Pangomon is a pangolin, earth-digging, tree-climbing digi partnered to Cody's daughter, Olivia
Lovemon is a lovebird partnered to Ken and Yolei's daughter, Jessica
Settermon (one of my favourites here) is a little dog digi similar to Plotmon, and she's partnered to Kari's daughter, Blythe (yeah I changed the kid's gender)
Jaymon is a blue bird digi with a furry/fluffy mane thing, and he's partnered to Matt and Sora's son, Sam
Narmon is a narwhal who is partnered to Simon, Joe's son
Spinmon is a little spider partnered to Mia, Izzy's daughter
Bullrushmon (I love him haha) is some weird bullrush/sea creature combo who was born in a moment of insanity c: He's the partner of Mimi's son, Mikey
Wigmon (who I thought I'd hate but I'm actually pretty pleased with) is an earwig and the partner of Ken and Yolei's son, Nate/Nathan
The one I haven't designed yet is the Digimon for Ken and Yolei's baby (SHE isn't a baby in my version though)

No, she's a rookie. Gatomon is a 'special' champion so I think it'd be silly for Kari's child to have a champion JUST because her mother does. Settermon is essentially a subspecies/relation of Salamon, though not entirely related.

I'm actually slowly redesigning a few of these and I plan on basing their evo lines on mixes of the 'parent' Digimon. Roughly anyway. I should get working on those perhaps.

Yeah I'm a fan of sticking to the canon of things (though I love filling in plotholes!) but the end of Digimon Adventure was just a bit....stupid to me xD I'm sticking to it as closely as I can by keeping all the kids (though with some redesigns) and MOSTLY maintaining the adult digidestined

Fair enough. We all have our own way of fixing it. Me and my friend are fixing it by filling in the gap between the final battle and the epilogue but keeping most of the canon details (everyone knows about the Digital World; it's common to have a Digimon partner, same careers, etc.). One major change we add is that while Yolei/Miyako is still a housewife, she also earns income via an electronic repair business she runs out of her family's house.

So many cuties, neat play on many familiar designs from the franchise. Marimon especially feels like a genuine subspecies of other plant-based rookies. I think Narmon is my favorite, because it's one of the few Narwhal inspired creatures I've seen that acknowledges that the the trademark "horn" is actually a tooth.

And yeah, it is sorta annoying how often people mistake the tooth for a horn. I know it seems so dreamy for it to be a 'unicorn of the sea' or whatever but meh. Since I first found out it was a big tooth as a big I have LOVED it xD
