Cool! Everything about Lion-O and Mumra is just as you portrayed them. Very cool. I'm an 80's baby too. XD Most of the best cartoons came from this era. Today's kids cartoons is like....like...eh I don't know what they did, it's like they're not trying hard enough to impress anyone anymore. Just more humor and less visual appeal. Anyway, on to my interpretations. Here goes........................
The first thing that I noticed besides the obvious recognition of characters are the lighting on Lion-O. An interesting thing about it is that there is dark and light above. It's like a special kind of spot light unlike the natural kind anyone would expect. This particular lighting is more sentimental. It is the spot light of nolstalgia (Uh, I can't get that spelling right!). Like going back in to the back of your mind and remembering a cartoon in the way that you first remembered him on screen. I noticed the linings on Lion-O is like that of the TV screen. It reminds me of the television with the bunny ear antenna. XD Yeah I remember that somehow. The white outline surrounding Lion-O is like a mental cutout from the old memory lane area of the mind. That memory is as fresh as the latest news paper. Still hot off the press.
Mumra's image is very eerie looking like an ancient decaying flesh cut out from the stone, or as I recall the cartoon, as he just came out of the tomb. Mumra is one of the most scariest villains I remembered, very powerful, very deceitful, and very cunning. Having him as part of the background is enough to convince me that he has been a long enduring impression, like a childhood nightmare, that if any nightmare had a face, it would look something like Mumra. And no matter how anyone looks at it, how far back anyone places Mumra to the back of their mind, Mumra still lives. Mumra lives! And that's a very powerful impression he left as a villain. And you executed that feeling spot on. I can feel that too.
To the bottom left corner, this must be like a water mark sign. A very cool looking one too. It somehow reminds me of the eye of a satellite. Or a fancy speaker to a boom box. The little gel like circle kinda convinces me more of a boom box speaker. Cool! I think I came close! Sweet! Overall, this is a very awesome pic, and you executed the very essence of nolstalgic hero, and a very impressionistic villian that many 80's kids won't soon forget. .....Mumra....Mumra lives...Mumra lives...MUMRA LIVES!!!!! Hahahahahahahahagh!!!!!!!! XD Awesome pic once again. I had fun interpreting this one.
