I see that she's bursting from the ground, but it seems just as cool if I imagine her sliding to a stop, kicking up dust and bones, grinning with intent. Eye of the beholder, I guess.

rad peice. those jeans look real. love the way you do eyes, so much detail round the outside in the lashes etc. "SS" on the tombstone, is that a shout out? or just random?

Thanks for the compliment. The letters on the tombstone are actually "DP" my initials and my signature, which is on all the pieces I have posted with the exception of ETDpt4 for some reason.

every once in a while i find a really good one and hang on to it

I use a Pilot fine tip ballpoint pen. I think I pay $2 for a 3 pack. With ballpoints you have to be careful because ink will build up around the tip and leave big black marks in the middle of your cross hatching. So just wipe the tip off periodically as you work.

Everything about this pic just totally kicks ass!! I love your style and technique. Besides the girl, I'd have to say that my favorite things in this piece are the skulls and headstones. Keep up the great work. ^_^

Thanks. Ball point pen isn't really that hard, from the look of your pencil technique you could pick it up fairly quickly.
