I finally colored that lineart I did!I think the lineart is floating around my scraps somewhere if anyone wants to color it ^3^ I did a lazy bg OTL
When I get it organized I'll upload my coloring process for this pic. It's not a full blown tutorial like a couple of you have asked for '^-^ but you can see how I color
First pic of the year yay!!! Onward to 2010 and all that....
My resolution is to buy a new computer so I don't have to wait 10 minutes for Gimp to start up and so I can work on a pic larger than 2000 pixels without my pc dieing YAY!!!

Aw, how pretty. I love the shading. Especially on the clothes, it looks so crisp.
One thing that bothers me the most, in the thick line around the girl. It just doesn't look right, and makes the shading look odd. It would work better if the shading were more simple(cell shaded). But as it is it's not, and as I said it just makes it look odd overall.
Other things are the arms, the right arm is thicker than the left. They should be about the same size. Also the the legs don't seem right. The feet look kinda odd too.
Like I said though, the shading is pretty good, she's cute too.

After I was finished I was thinking the same thing about the shading! I think I tried to be too intricite when my original thought was to be more cartoonish. Thank you for the critique I really appreciate it <3

this is really nice!
this is one of those few pictures where it looks good both big and small, as a thumbnail or in fullview! i really like the black and white outline of the character, it really seems to make her come to life! i love the details of the shading in the fullview...it's like there are several different levels of detail in this picture...and all are really interesting and effective!
the background is awesome as well, and really ties together the great color scheme you've chosen.
