Beautiful, mysterious, courageous and determined, I find Kabal the most fascinating; especially the nature of his scars.His scars seem to change with every appearance (in game or in cartoons.) In MK3 he was attacked, with scars only on his face, but in Mk9 he was hit with a fireball with scars on his face, arms and chest. (and in various cartoons he appears to only have mild facial scars.)
For this pic I gave him warrior scars that are my take on the MK3 storyline.
Even compared to characters who came back from the dead, I feel Kabal has had the most to overcome, both with his appearance and his reliance on a respirator.
Kabal is an inspiration for anyone who has a scar, physical or emotional, we can persevere, because we must persevere.

As someone who has a major scar (cancer surgery), I wanted to show him as being proud of his scars. Scars are our history and our strength.

oh! i remember that fatality! I never played much as Sub-zero but people who were good at the game always did (so my character was always on the receiving end.)
What's so creepy is how the victim stays alive and begs even after their body is broken in half. (I would think that would be instant death IRL....

Memories! This is awesome! It feels like I stepped back into the 90's. This was a great stage in MK3 too but my favorite was the bank.

I have one little correction for the description though, its one artist for one of 80 characters, over 15 artists are not from DA and have no DA accounts, the project is a colaboration between MKRebirth and Game-Art-HQ.Com there are artists from Mortal Kombat and Mugen communities among GA-HQ members involved in the project
