Kuroi doll is finally done! Commission for to celebrate the launch of book 2 of The Naiad Chronicles. Thank you!Kuroi is the king. A well-meaning, pie obsessed king.
He's about 18" tall (I think, I didn't actually measure him???) and is pretty posable. Great levels of glam can be achieved. His clothes are removable, his shoes laced and his fingers wired so he can hold things. Clutch them to his chest (he has chest embroidery too, but I forgot to photograph it... I'm so scatterbrained ATM). He can stand independently, and his wings are wired for poses. β€οΈ

I think Messenger was about 270000. Big. I didn't mean it to be, but it is. I'm not sorry. Books 3 and 4 are closer to book 1 in size. But the whole series will likely hit a million words π

Book 3 is written, just being edited XD I meant to spare more time on books this year but somehow I've managed to make myself busier? It's a skill.
I like big books too. As ridiculous and obvious as this sounds, you get more in 'em! There's room for stories and characters to breathe, rather than being clipped and limited. But arm ache. That is a problem.

It was okay, actually. I've done worse XD one doll had dreads made of wool and I had to felt each bit onto his head piece by piece π© And I was so lucky with his clothes, normally I struggle a little but these went so well first time. The gods-of-doll-trousers were with me.

The trick is to make little wire hands, then slide the whole thing in so the plush hand is like a glove.
I don't think he could stand if he didn't have a tail, though XD maybe on very flat surfaces.
