First, he decides to kill the worst criminals known & after he hears L say what he does is "evil", he wants to murder L to prove that he is justice. After that, he kills various people around the city because of the notebook & tries to kill Near since he starts to suspect that he's Kira, but fails. Ryuk sadly kills Raito at the end of the series by writing his name in the notebook. Am I missing anything?
