MONOCHROME FURRY PAINTING STUDY
his name is The Forbidden One because that's what I have him labelled as in my layer names
It's times like this where I really wish I had screen recording software,, I would've LOVED to post a speedpaint of this. This drawing actually originated as a doodle for a tweet about how furry artists draw noses. It ended up being changed so many times before I posted it haha

I'm glad that you tried to put as much work into this as you could.
But their still are problems with this peace.
First is that, I can see you tried to use more real life looking shading.
But your miss some spots.
The eyelids need shading, because you did the undereyes.
And the eyebrows look a little out of place. I'de say eather make them smaller or shaded.
The ears are the best part of the painting to me.
Nose is really well done too.
The eyes are ok, but the ends look too sharp.
Also the hair looks like clay. I don't know why.
But I'm not into the lower hafe of the body.
It looks a little messy and lazy.
The month is good! I like the fact that you put work into it.
Over all, I can tell you put work into it.
But parts are lazy that you need to work on.
Keep at it bud.

Especially I like your shading approach, you clearly thought about light and shadow.
This is clearly a big step ahead compared to other pieces of you.
DonΛt be discouraged Β by critique of others.
For me the critique from May has valid points but is way too harsh.
Imho critique should always be in the context of the artist, his skill level, his development and his previous pieces.
