Well, this came out of no where.
The reason I did this was because there is a game on facebook about farms and harvesting and whatnot and I recently did a field with the shape of the original mario sprite (Which is 12px x 16px) and the size fit well, I wanted to do a sonic shaped field (blueberries and whatnot XD), I searched all sonic sprites and noticed they were all too big (32px +) and it wouldn't fit the field, the smallest one was the Sonic from the NeoGeo console, I tried to come up with a 22px height sprite so I can make my field LOL.
I had FUNNNNNNNN doing it XD it looks nice does it? Tell me please, I might make moar.

There was a "miniture Sonic" sprite in Sonic CD when he gets shrunken temporarrilly after going through a machine in one of the final levels of the game. (You try that one?)

Shading doesn't show up on the DA submission, and the detail JPEG is too grainy to see the changes in the smaller image.
Oh,and when I said a muddy maroon, I was going for this color: [link] Guess I wasn't too descriptive in that sense. Anyways, if possible, try to save that file as a PNG instead of a JPEG.
About the shading though, I think the image is so small, the detail is lost on it, so there's really no visible difference.

Ah, DA must've just taken a bit of time to update it. That JPEG killed a lot of detail in the little one. This is much nicer. Congrats! And yes, now I can see the shading.

The one on the right is more appealing to me, but I only have one quam. The outline color for the shoes isn't definitive enough, makes me lose the detail that those are indeed shoes. I would use a muddy maroon instead of that muddy pink color.

It looks nice. The original game was also developed as an 8-Bit version for the Sega Master System. The 8-Bit version's sprite didn't include the black lines, so I'd say this looks closer to a sprite used in the Super Mario Bros. series.
