Description A French soldier ready for an inevitable German invasion in 1940. The majority of french soldiers during this time would be wearing khaki colored uniforms. In the mid 1930s, they decided to change the color of their uniforms from blue horizon (used in the First World War) to khaki. This change would greatly better camouflage their soldiers. What did stay from the First World War, is the Adrian helmet. The M15 Adrian helmet was first introduced in the French Army during the First World War. A modified version was made, the M26 Adrian, in the mid 1930s. It was made with stronger materials but still looked pretty identical to the M15.
