Eep. I've been neglecting my DA a bit.
My grandmother bought me this fabulous wood panel for my birthday, and I stared at it for weeks before deciding what to do with it. This whole thing was one big experiment, so, I used everything from wood stain to markers to get a feel for working on wood. I learned that I should listen to the little voice in my head telling me to sand if I'm going to use markers (I didn't). And I've also added 'practice landscapes' to my arting agenda. I really have no experience with them.

Materials: 16"x22" wood panel, Liquitex acrylic paint, Copic Multiliners and markers, Prismacolor colored pencils, Minwax wood stain, scanned in two parts with levels adjusted in Photoshop CS5

Yep! It was fun, and occasionally frustrating with respect to markers, to work with! I definitely want to play with painting on wood more in the future.

I know it's not supposed to be Sarah, but it really does remind me of Sarah. That or Lily from Legend. Absolutely beautiful work

Yeah, I can totally see that. She was originally going to have blonde or red hair, but since I decided to make her dress cream and gold, it ended up washing her out. Oh, well. A Sarah or Lily interpretation is fine by me!

Awesome! Well I think it's amazing and just love all your Labyrinth fanart. So I think that may have been why I thought "Sarah" as soon as I saw this picture
