There is a popular fan theory that Morty and Celadon Gym Leader Erica are close friends due to their similar demeanors and (inferred) use of recreational drugs. Dunno about all that, but I always agreed that they would get along.

Also, holy shit, Heartbreaker Charles. I'm pretty sure he was the best thing to come out of Gen V. Actually, hold on while I go look up all the other characters introduced. Yea, Ingo and Emmet are the next best in my opinion, and after that it's a real toss up. But seriously. Heartbreaker Charles.
