Then I'm very pleased to meet you! I've colorized some more on here - [link]
It's very difficult to stop colorizing Buster when you've started..

Thank you very much! I love black and white photos but there's something fascinating about bringing them to life..

I love the way it makes an old photo that I've seen many times photo seem so new and different -- it's such a novelty. And it definitely makes them appear more human.

I agree! I never think of that time period as 'old' anyway.. Buster especially seems to modern to me. But putting him and others in colour brings it even closer!

Exactly... I saw a picture of Buster in a book about famous actors, and later on bought one his movies out of interest and I was amazed at how funny and fresh it was... Now my DVD collection is full to bursting with old movies, and I think they're all great.

Good for you!! Buster made me see that even though something is 80+ years old, it doesn't make it *old*.. I loved black and white films before but I had never gotten into silents. Now I can't get enough of them...

I watched many old films when I was younger, because my parents would sit through them, so they were just normal to me. I had to find silents myself though, and now I'm an addict! I still think it's a shame that many of my peers are missing out on great films because they think they're "old".

This is very disconcerting! Surely Buster Keaton was black and white!

Absolutely, so were all the surroundings until technicolor was created!

The expression is gold! And the dull colour of his hat, very effective.

One of my favourite photos of him, sums his style up, really!

And thank you! I prefer to do dull/pastel colours because I find that it's a bit more believable.. and you can always boost the saturation if need be!
