Description Photo of an old miniature I made for a fantasy diarama that never got built. It's solvent-glued and painted styrene plastic. Some dust removal and color tweaks in Photoshop.

Image available for use by anyone in photomanipulations or whatever. If you use it I'd appreciate being told. The download is much larger.

Cool. How big is the actual piece? Sorry into miniatures and like to know 'how miniature'. Very nice looking piece.

Ah pretty big then. What scale of a scene were you planning to use it in? Its pretty cool looking. What did you have in mind for the setting? Sorry about so many questions just trying to visualize what you had in mind.

I was thinking of a square foot or two of ancient cemetary, with no definite further details decided at the time things got sidetracked. Lots of possibilities. I have a bunch of small blocks and tiles and some fluted columns, etc., that might have gone into that project. I have a few more little scenes about that size (a couple of science fiction ones and another fantasy setting), that got further along and are currently not getting any attention. I think somewhere I have packed away my finished HO scale Ancient Martian Temple. I did a lot more, but they've all sold, and never got photographed.

Sounds interesting. I hear you about the selling something and never getting a photograph. I've done lots of that. I do miniature china and some miniature dolls, so miniatures interest me. Well they always have even before I did them. That would make a great monument in a cemetary for sure. The Martian temple sounds cool too. Thanks for the mental photo.

I have a friend who did computer game animations and backgrounds for years, and is currently doing dollhouse scale wizard staffs and suchlike. She held a class recently and I have a few of those half-done, waiting for the next class.

Cool I've done a wizard, sorceress, dragons and lots of fairies and elves. They are in the gallery section of my mini site. [link]

Usually I create an alphabet to use, but this was made up as I went along.

Great little piece of work! How come you never ended up finishing the project?

Snags, and other things came along meanwhile, and then other things.... It got way down in the priority list and may never get back.
