The unholy lovechild of a mantis shrimp, Scyther (the Pokemon), and a destroyer droid from Star Wars

And it is my art-present for ~acidshadow

This was my challenge:

Shape: bi-ped / tri-ped
Texture: smooth, slight slimy, translucent
Color: Pinks, browns and greys
Creature Shape: crab, lobsters, insects- but remember, it's going to be smooth, so think out side the exoskeleton ;3

Took me ages to figure out how to make this thing, and even worse, how to draw it. When I saw "tri-ped" I wanted do do that soo badly but had no idea how to, until I remembered those evil little guys from Star Wars 1. they had three legs, and it worked, so I hence based half this freak's anatomy on them. And since I have this current obsession with the most badass crustacean in the sea, the mantis shrimp, I just couldn't resist giving him the thumbsplitting claws of death I've decided that the shading and color DOESN'T suck, which is probably a first for me ever. And the file is huge, so large it's pissed off both Photoshop, GIMP, and dA as I try to upload the monster.

So. As my frustration with lack of drawing skills continues, I am making this my entry for the "Human Hunter" contest. Assume that he's..well, large-ish, taller than a human anyway, and is now carnivorous. *Sigh* I mean, my whole headworld is populated with mostly human-hunters of various species..I just can't draw them out worth a shit.
