Wow, how did you manage to get so close to it? Or do you have a super-fancy zoom? Either way, really nice picture. :3 Personally, I find it quite difficult to photograph animals; getting them in focus is the challenge. But you really captured the duck well, nonetheless--well done!

This is a very nice, classical pose.
The snow is somewhat over exposed but that's not too objectionable.

The other duck photo is better exposed for the snow but I like the profile pose best.
You should see the small difference if you compare the EXIF of the two shots.

On first photo I used F-number 3,2, on second 3,5 - and that't the major difference. Depth of field is a little bit larger and the snow looks better there, where 3,5 was used. I schould use 4 or more, but i like small depth.
