This could be a set up to a dream world of a child, the child's mind is thinking about his past where he used to live and he hated it because he was abused (Explaining the black and white) or maybe he loved his old neighborhood. It could be set up as an adult wants to go back to his simple life where he lived because his life now is nothing but hardship and paying heavy amounts of bills, paying child support because his wife divorced him, and has a low amount of income from his job that mistreats him, then he thinks back to when his life was simple as a kid living in a small neighborhood thinking that the whole world was that neighborhood. Other then that I love this photo.

It's like a beautiful stillframe from a stop-motion animation, yet at the same time it looks like a drawing. So simple and so beautiful.
