Making Animusic gijinkas?? Why, yes I am!

In case you don't know, Animusic (I and II) is basically a series of 3D animated music videos that center around really unique instruments/instrument sets that play their music autonomously. Its highlights are the impressive contraptions, catchy music, and interesting settings.

I first came into contact with Animusic when I was about preschool age, and I saw a special on it on TV. The pogo bass really freaked me out...
Since then, I'd seen it a couple of times in my school years, and recently I decided to finally watch the entire thing on YouTube. It's great stuff!

Earlier this year, I had the idea of making (very alien-looking) gijinkas of each contraption, but I didn't think I had enough good ideas, and besides, they're all really complicated and detailed (and we all know how much I like details...). However, during the summer semester I got bored, and decided it was a welcome challenge!
The project is really forcing me to stretch my creative muscles to their limits, and it's been difficult, but in a satisfying way. I'm much more creative than I thought~.

Anyway, Retro here is based on the first video, Future Retro. I took the title to mean a combination of futuristic tech and retro music, so I decided to make her design a combo, too. She's half punk rocker, half 50's sweetheart~.
Her inhuman attribute (all the gijinkas have one) is that she has 4 arms. Technically she would need 6 to play her multi-guitar, but I figured that would be too many (they'd start getting in the way of each other...). Besides, during the song all 3 guitars aren't usually being played simultaneously, so she can manage with 4.
Instruments included: Multi-guitar (+flutes), finger lasers (rings), percussion ring, synth lasers (shoulders), gong (earring)

P.S. I am no longer afraid of Mr. Pogo Bass; he's one of my favorites now~. He's also next...
