I've been thinking of trying to do one of those expression sheets with exaggerated faces. I think it'd help a lot o:

well it doesnt have to be too much of an exaggeration, in any case from the drawing you have, it perfectly represents her expression ^^ so around that for other expressions, it mostly just comes to the case if you can make others empathize or see what your drawing's expressions portrays

I guess so, but a great way to practice them is to exaggerate them, and then tone it down from there. I feel like exaggerations are especially important for cartoons and animations too.

hhmmm I would say if you are having trouble trying to get the intensity of the expression, there are some artist who are really well on doing so and have studied their styles and how they portray their expressions, but the strangest way to practice expressions would be to get a mirror, and do the expressions you wanna show yourself :3 which I tried but uummm idk, its so weird XD

This is great! Going to be using as my laptop background for now [long as you don't mind], your lighting is fantastic and the shading as well. Background is done wonderfully and the eyes really do draw in my attention. I just really love this altogether.
