Told you I was going to make the Ultra Beasts. And to start it off, why not begin with the first Ultra Beast discovered? It is a Poison/Rock type with a base stat total of 570. All of the Ultra Beasts carry the ability Beast Boost, which raises their most proficient stat whenever they score a knockout. In this case, it will raise either Special Attack, Special Defense, or Speed. It is based on a moon jellyfish.

Her weapon is the Scorpion Tail. This is a recurring weapon in the Final Fantasy series, but it takes a different form in each one. I wanted to keep the name, so I decided it should be a whip, with a scorpion stinger at the end of it, though I gave it a blade so it can cut instead of stab. It can severely poison whoever it strikes, with the poison causing both your health and magic power to drain.

It’s not just her whip that presents a danger. Her hair was given the powers of a jellyfish, and she can inject neurotoxins in your system just by brushing her hair on you. What’s worse is that she can control her hair. It can’t stretch, but nothing’s stopping her from binding you with her whip, pulling you in close, and stinging you with her hair. Her hair can also sting you even if you cut it off. If you’re infected, you’ll do whatever she wants you to do, and you’ll protect her from anything until one of you loses consciousness.

Her design is based on Lillie from Pokémon Sun and Moon, because Lillie herself was designed to look like Nihilego (no thanks to her controlling mother). Her hat was changed to look more like Nihilego’s head, though I didn’t want it to be translucent. She was given long hair to match the tentacles. And since she has been corrupted by the invader, her expression had to be of hate and anger.

Attacks:

Grass Knot: Nihilego grabs her target with her whip around their ankles and trips them. The amount of damage they take depends on how much the target weighs.

Venoshock: Nihilego sprays her target with a purple liquid. If they are already poisoned, or under the effects of her neurotoxins, the attack does double damage.

Power Gem: Nihilego attacks her target with a sparkling beam. This can bounce off walls, and could temporarily blind its target.
