Oh, I heard about those but I never saw them. I don't think they were broadcasted in Poland.

From what I have read, any European country that had aired Super Sentai, stopped in 1993 to give way to Power Rangers.
I guess Power Rangers are more 'western' than Super Sentai, as until recently, all the teams are made up of Asian actors.
Stan Lee was actually owas the first person who wanted to bring Super Sentai to America, but no one wanted to pick up his idea.

yeah.
The studio that produces Super Sentai actually had a contract with Marvel back in the late 70's.
One of the shows they produced as a result of this deal was Supaidaman, a very Power Ranger-esque version of Spider-Man.

Oh, and Yellow Ranger was a girl whereas her counterpart from Super Sentai was male... did I get it right?

Yup. that happened pretty much until Super Sentai made a 3 member team with a female blue ranger and a male yellow ranger. After that, they've pretty much kept consistent with the genders.
Interestingly enough, the series that Saban had planned on adapting before Zyuranger, had a male yellow ranger, but blue and white female rangers.
MMPR was almost bird/jet themed...

Well...they sorta had that in the newest series, Ressha Sentai Toqger, the rangers can actually shift colors fom one to the other.
In Shinkenger/Power Rangers Samurai, they had the first official female red ranger.

Female Red Ranger? Wow! Is she the leader of the team?

Yup.
This is the Power Rangers adaption of the female Red Samurai Ranger.

In both Shinkenger and Power Rangers she's the older sister of the male Red Samurai Ranger, and replaces him for a short while.
As being the oldest sibling in her family, she is the heir to the red ranger powers.
However the Red Samurai is not the first female red ranger seen in a Power Rangers series.
in Power Rangers SPD, the A-Squad team was led by a female red ranger.
The only thing is the SPD A-Squad defected to the bad guys, so they are not as said in this clip, not true power rangers.

That's not even including the unofficial Sentai teams, like Ninja Captor or Hikonon Sentai Akibaranger.

The show must have millions of fans if they just keep making these.

I think there was even an episode in the US show which alluded to that...

The real Abaranger was considerably different from Dino Thunder.
Abaranger followed the premise that all of earth's dinosaurs still exist on an alternate earth, and have evolved to sentient levels, while Dino Thunder is played as a semi-sequel to MMPR, and the Dino zords were created by Dr. Tommy Oliver(AKA the former green/white ranger).
The Dino Zords actually talked in Abaranger....

I remember some fake rangers being made of shadows of the real ones...

A lot of series had evil duplicates of the rangers...the first Shadow Rangers appeared in Turbo, the second group appeared in Wild Force.
