I knew exactly what this would be from just reading the title. I turned in that short story for an assignment (to find inspiring short stories, I think, it was just a simple task) in my story writing class, and the teacher loved it so much he had me read it to the class. I really like a lot of Harukami's works, but now that I'm in college I've yet to finish a single one of the books.
anyway. I really adore this illustration! it captures the story in such a subtle, yet brilliant way.
