red snow deepshe was well in the bell jar
like the light in sight
on the marble bench
or the crystal chandelier crashing car
nothing can hide in the shadows
or deep into the night
or beyond the grassy fields,
along the cracks of the wall
or in the mirror
where they crowd in the hall
as everybody seems to want something,
the daunting reality of beauty
insane minds of overran thoughts
the poppies know the answers
the soft spot of sensitivity
and the forward button held down tight
