Description from memory
Dead Poet's Insobriety

A Bukowski poem:

U2

my wife called me to the phone.
"it's Bono calling from Ireland," she said.
I picked up the receiver.
"hey, Sonny, you still with Cher?"

we didn't talk long
after
that.

i am into cummings very much

i am not sure is it classics for Americans?

i think so.. it's very interesting

i cannot believe he lived so long ago

he was so innovative for his time

ee cummings I presume
one of my favorite poets no doubt....innovative indeed
and this is really one of my mainstay poems
it's a beauty

Buffalo Bill's
defunct who used to ride a watersmooth-silver
stallion

and break onetwothreefourfive pigeonsjustlikethat
Jesus

he was a handsome man and what I want to know is
how do you like your blueeyed boy now
Mister Death

blue eyes i find artificial unfortunately

but indeed he was a handsome man

and a painter a little bit, not bad

well so it goes...everyone has the likes
I am a sentimentalist in some regards
like with that poem,
as a kid down south in LA
I got to meet Buffalo Bil's grandson
my grandmother knew him
so there you have it
plus Bukowski does it pretty much for me
on most levels when it comes to words on a page
Paint.....now there is my arena

well you're American

Sometimes you just don't make sense

I consider this your best feature

that is true and even more along western front of California to be exact,
along the coast away from the nasty business out there in the wasteland of the States

and thanks....making sense is a lot of work sometimes
it's all tale to be told

thanks
and
I will
and same to you

and here an ee cummings i like

enter no

enter no(silence is the blood whose flesh
is singing)silence:but unsinging. In
spectral such hugest how hush,one

dead leaf stirring makes a crash

-far away(as far as alive)lies
april;and i breathe-move-and-seem some
perpetually roaming whylessness-

autumn has gone:will winter never come?

o come,terrible anonymity;enfold
phantom me with the murdering minus of cold
-open this ghost with millionary knives of wind-
scatter his nothing all over what angry skies and

gently
(very whiteness:absolute peace,
never imaginable mystery)
descend
