Okay so this is my first Colour Pencil attempt in about 10 years... I decided to try my hand at a Sumatran Tiger. It's still a work in progress, as I haven't quite figured out what to do with the background..It was done with Prismacolour Pencils on white stonehenge. Special thanks to Rasberry for all her help/advice!
This is from a photograph done by Tim Knight, check his stuff out, it's amazing!
Anyway, comments/critique welcome!

Hahaha honestly, I have no idea how long it took. 20 hours? 30 hours? It was my first colour pencil so it took an amazing amount of patience.
There's lots of great tutorials and WIP galleries on DA by people who are FAR better than me, if you're interested in taking up colour pencils. Honestly, though, it boils down to alot of layering, and knowing how to blend your colours together in the most lifelike way possible.

Thank you so much! Hahah I thought this one had kinda drifted to the background, like most of my older drawings tend to do, but thanks so much for taking the time to look over it and scrutinize it! This was really my first plunge into coloured work, and I am going to finish it soon, I promise. Thanks again for your support!

I am working on a full-page colour pencil of a leopard right now, that's beginning to look like it could turn out great! You'll have to let me know what you think when it's done

Wow! I love this! The shading here is excellent, and the details really bring it to life. When I saw the thumbnail it really caught my attention. Awesome work, you have some real talent.
