It varies. Sometimes I already have the idea worked out in my head and I just need to put it to paper. Other times I sketch aimlessly till something comes to me. Motivation is another big factor. I listen to a lot of peppy music to get myself going.
For this drawing, I think I spent maybe an hour actually drawing it out. I already had the idea stewing in my head for a few days, so it just needed to be let out.
Digital takes a bit longer depending on how detailed you want to be. Coloring this drawing was really quick so about another hour and a half or so.
I do a lot of work with pen and marker because for me it's really fast. If I were to color this that way, I'd say maybe only an hour or so to do it.
