Ah, well they are now a major antagonist in my series. (OC, but they do make appearances and have been antagonists in my Sonic FC series as well.)  They are a race of cyborgs who wish to spread the belief of "cybernism" across the galaxy. While they are indeed connected via their various technological communication systems. However, the Braxxians oddly are allowed to retain most of their cognitive and mental personas upon assimilation. To the Braxxians turning into a cyborg is about the same as becoming an adult or getting married. Also they are not ruled by a signal leader, but by a council and many other officials. This would seem democratic and progressive, if it were not for corruption within the Empire.
