My thoughts: I wanted to try and stimulate a painted feeling since sometimes I feel like my artworks are a little too digital-y. I think I did well, but who knows. I like how I did the values and the colors. I made the colors somewhat more varied than the reference because I wanted them to be slightly stylized. I think I made the skulls a bit too short in their height, but close enough.

hello, this works is very good, you say the size is not good, but i don't think because, the skull on the pictures don't seem to be real skull. I think your draw is more beautiful from the original picture.
The only thing that i found not natural on your draw is the teeth, because the angle you give on the teeth shadow give me the impression it's not the orignal teeth of the skull. All the rest of your draw is very good, the proportion of all part seems good and the effect give on the shadow is very nice.

Aw yeah, probably not til next spring, though. It's getting too cold to work in my little studio with limited daylight. Hopefully by then I'll be way more prepared for it.
