I will have to say that I am not a fan of the Spike & Rarity pairing. The crush is cute, but how far could it stretch? We all saw what happened with Trenderhoof (4x13). Failed as it did, it showed Rarity has obsessions on other ponies, to Spike's dismay. Which was why I wrote the little story.Read "The Bouquet"
Also, I thought Spike and Sweetie Belle look darling together, but I left the story open-ended, if you can call it that. Whether I subscribe to this pairing in future art, I haven't decided yet.Β

I understand this shipping, but I just don't like that people find Sweetie Belle as "Rarity #2" and if Sweetie found that out then she'd be pretty heartbroken. Just a thought.

True dat. But in my scenario, Spike might already be heartbroken and unable to think of a plan B. Sweetie Belle would be there to comfort him and they become close friends along with the other CMCs. In his teen years would likely be when Spike and Sweetie start to get loving feelings for each other.

And, another thing : they are almost of the same age.
Then, I think that Sweetie Belle's character is really different of Rarirty's.
Sweetie Belle has ore empathy than her sister, and is also a bit of a goofball, like Spike. I feel that they are much closer, and more plausible than Sparity

I think Button Mash is one of the only OC's people take as literal canon characters, along with Flufflepuff(or however you pronounce the name) and Doctor Whooves(who is a canon character as Time Thrner, but not as the doctor persona fans give him)

I am a Sparity shipper, although I can understand not shipping it. I never went for Spikebelle because it seemed just like saying "girl rejects you, go for her sister." Bottom line is, I respect your opinions so long as you're not a douche about them. You're an amazing artist and your choice in pairings will not make me stop viewing you in the same light.
