My Chrismass card for this year... I also used this occasion to esperiment a bit with my coloring... Purple-blueish shadow

Tried to fix it on photoshop. FAILURE. The colors of the original are WAY better than this... *sigh*

Here's the critique you've requested! It was some time ago and it took me long to get here, but at last I arrived (:

Let's start with overall impression. It's a very nicely done drawing, the colours work nice together and definitely the card suits its purpose. I think there won't be much to critique upon (:

The lineart is done exquisitely! I like both the little houses and trees in the background as well as the angel. Her dress is without flaws - actually, the only exception would be her left hand, or fingers, to be more precise. Compared to her right hand (which is drawn beautifully), they don't look good. Let me explain why - bend your fingers this way and look at your hand. As you can see, the fingers don't lay the way you've shown. The forefinger "ends" a bit higher than middle finder and ring-finger, which end almost at the same level, and then there's smallest finger, ending higher than forefinger. So the only thing to fix it would be to "extend" middle finger and ring-finger a bit, but it's a minor flaw anyway. Observing your own body is always a good thing if you're unsure how to draw a human part (:

To be honest, it's the only thing I could advice on. This card is drawn really well, I like the chiaroscuro - especially the yellow parts reflecting on the dress and on the snow... So keep it up this way and you'll go far.

That's really nice.

Even if they aren't as good as they would be in person, I love the colors. Especially the subtle yellow highlights on the wings, hair, and gown. Beautiful job.
