NOT a PHOTO!!! lol its charcoalI was for my last semester figure drawing class. Done with charcoal on a 18 by 24in piece of paper. I had an A but I still wanted to do this picture, so it was done for extra credit ^_^. It took 7 hours strait to complete. I hope you like it ^_^

Amazing. I think its great how you can do something completely cartoony then something very realistic. Charcoal has never worked well for me but it's probably because I rarely use it... But this is GREAT!

Your skills with charcoal drawing are great. What really captivates me , however , are the emotion in the picture. You can really feel their hardship. Words mostly escapes me. Fantastic work. You really deserved daily deviation.

ya i did, the photo was a 3 by 5 inch picture, very bad quality and then I made it blown up to a 18 by 24 piece of paper, so most is just my rendering

Kudos on the DD. I saw this image and the first thing that came to mind was the French family in 'Saving Private Ryan' as the man is trying to give his daughter to the soldiers. She didn't get a cookie though.
