Thanks, Sergio. Always rewarded to be up in the street early in the morning!

Thanks, Bruno. The scene was almost B&W to start with, so it was a natural conversion.
Yes, I have been using an X100 on a daily basis for almost 10 month, keeping the heavy stuff for the week end.
I can't complain about the speed. I have used other compact cameras in the past, and they were far from being as good - and that was frustrating to use. Maybe I have developed some skills to shoot just a bit earlier than I would do with a DSLR.

You must have developed exactly that skill - because me, I shoot always that tiny fraction too late. The results then are seldom a 100% satisfying.
But yes, it IS a splendid and very beautiful camera.

There is no doubt that I have to do something like that. Maybe it takes a few thousands images - I reached 2000 yesterday with it. I also tend to really use one camera at a time - except for film camera. I haven't used my Canon 7D for street in a while.

Tu sais que dans cette rue se trouve la plus intéressante librairie consacrée à la photographie, La Chambre claire...

Very interesting play of light and shadow - is this a public building? Seems very large for a common residence...I love the wide railed threshold of the recessed double-doors.

Thanks, Paul. It is a side entrance to a large church (St Sulpice in Paris). I don't think that these doors are still in use, thus I don't know why they seem to be so marked by time.
