HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!!!!!!Ahhh yes..... The last drawing, and day of 2012.
I have had this as a ritual since the last day of December in 2009. I always draw this Fantasy Dragon character, whom I have had since 2009, and have not given a proper name....... I just call him Falcor.
This was done quickly...... I wish I had more time to spend on it, but Imma go to go be with my family 8D
Anyways.
I hope everyone has a Happy New Year. Here's to 2012, thank you for the memories. Hope that we'll have some good ones in 2013.

i really love your process that creates the look of it being a still from the television - would you mind sharing how you do that? is it a matter of smart sharpening everything with a narrow radius, at the very end of production?

And yes, in photoshop after all is said and done. I copy paste the whole image into a new file, re-size it, sharpen it (maybe play with contrast), add a noise filter. Then two black bars on the top and bottom of the image. That's it really

i think im gonna try an image in this style one of these days, because its oh so epic looking
also you are SO WISE with the PASTE INTO NEW FILE advice.
i can see how not doing that can result in accidents!!!

LOL Thanks, I figured that out ages ago. just a copy merge, open in a new file, resize, and edit to your heart's desire.
I draw pretty big (1500x? pixels, usually the size of my computer screen or bigger), and then re-size later on(to about 900 something pixels).
