When making this skin I wanted to make a skin that is easy to use and similar to winamp2 in the design so it doesn't confuse the h*ll out of the users. If you take a look at it you will see that most of the buttons has the same layout as in winamp2.
Others may like big skins that takes freeform use to the maximum but I'm making my art for myself and I share it with you so you have to deal with what I like in a skin. And as a hardcore winamp2 user I wanted something very similar so I could make the switch over to winamp3, and I now have done that.

Damn, that's a good skin. And the normal mode is actually usable, with other skins I usually find myself stuck with the half-assed minimal version.

for some reason I can't find the color options using winamp 5. all I have is the default color. This makes me sad. Maybe I'm just too stupid to figure it out.

This is really lovely. I went back to WinAMP2 because all the skins people were making for WA3 weren't minimal enough for me, or my desktop. And while I wouldn't consider this minimalistic, it's light enough, and customisable enough to go with any desktop I might have going.
I'm going to have to re-upgrade.

this skin is the only reason i am using winamp 3 now. totally awesome, and doesnt have some crazy interface with 3 buttons. nice work all around.

It's a lovely skin, and has great potential, but as everyone else has said, it's WAY too jaggy, and some of the buttons are ridiculously small. Oh, and the text is a little difficult to read - not enough contrast.

ok .. oops have to clairify:
"most skins suck" in my last comment.. was not about the skins themselves, but rather my impatience in adjusting to something that is unfammiliar... damn I wish I could spell.
Basically.. if it's not intuitive, or simmilar to a previous skin (i.e. base) then I give up on it quick like.
So .. no offense to you skinners out there.. YOU ROCK! I have dabbled in the skinning world.. and have about 20 unfinished skins .. hahaha.

One comment.. the orange in the Jarkland color scheme looks much oranger in the screenshot then it does in the real player.. it's almost brown/orange.. and I was hoping for clear/bright orange.. but oh well.. it's got a nice silver.
So Silver it it... And YAY!! It's got all these neat colors! I'll only use one or two of them .. .set on one and be happy .. but it's cool that it works for everyone.. almost everyone anyway.
