First time I've seen a Klingon with pierced ridges.
Pierced. Ridges.
I wish I had ridges. If I did, I'd have them pierced in an instant.

I think they looked more like the Ferangis than Klingons.

This is fantastic! I really loved the new Klingon design, and I think captured the rough texture of the skin quite well. It does leave me with a question, however: weren't his eyes, like, a piercing blue color in the movie? If I'm remembering that correctly, that particular aspect was rather definitive of the character, I think. I'd like to see a bit more of that. Otherwise, it's perfect! ^,^
Another thing, as a side note: I did a search of Star Trek Into Darkness Klingon and this was the only painting I found that was even close to what I was looking for. However, it was, like, waaaaay at the bottom of the search results. I'd make sure the search tags for this painting include all of the important words so that more people can see this awesome painting if they search for it.

I am not sure if they were yellow or blue either.
Bring on winter for BD release!

Yeah, I remember them being a bright blue, which I found particularly odd, since I had never seen a klingon with blue eyes.
Of course, I could just be mistaken. ^_^;
Either way, it's a beautiful painting.

Eeyup. Too bad it wasn't an awful movie. It was actually a fairly good film. Sure, I was annoyed at the Third Act cop-out, but overall I liked it.

Take my advice: lighten up, watch it again, bring a friend. Just close your eyes and forget canon, and then watch it. It probably only sucked because you sat there the entire time saying, "This sucks! This doesn't follow Star Trek canon!"

Let them complain; Rick Berman was no exception, nor Gene Roddenberry himself.

One thing I can't complain about is that that they made a menacing batch of Klingons.

good advice, yes. but i cannot forget canon. this movie questions everything that came before in Star Trek. i dislike that pretty much to express it in a polite way. that's why this movie is not a Star Trek movie for my taste. real Star Trek ended with Nemesis. and continues with novels. but the movies 11 and 12 really suck. sorry if that offends anyone, but that's my opinion.

Maybe you're just a little confused as to what a "reboot" means?

maybe... but a reboot of ST is a sacrilege for me. painstakingly awful.

Its great to see other people with so much passion for decent Star Trek.
But these movies are set in an alternate reality to avoid any canon-related rage.
As fans we should be judging these new movies on the quality of the plot, acting, originality and general entertainment factor.
For another star trek film to even happen, the director had to take the safest possible route to secure the fat wallets of the ever-dumbening global audience with explosions and action, and popular characters that even non-trekkies have heard of.
With those requirements in mind, I think Abrams did a great job of giving us some quality new Trek.

As a fellow trekkie, I concur. I love Star Trek, and saw nothing wrong with it, except for that little nod near the end. I think they were trying too hard, there. But it didn't ruin the movie for me.
BTW, this is an excellent rendition of the Klingon commander! Lovin' it!

They could have added a moustache or a goatee in the movie just to make it a little more familiar, but besides that I agree.

Who is to say this isn't the other end of the result of the virus that made the Klingons lose their forehead ridges? Or even Klingons from another continent on Qo'Nos.

I was NOT disappointed by how the klingons looked in the film, and you captured the look perfectly!
I think this is the only 'proper' image of a post 2009 klingon on the whole internet at the mo, Congrats!
