The ever amassing, overbearing HOARD

So, this is a setting I've been working on for about a year or more, in private. To sum it up, it's set in a future where a scientist named Dr Vertex has pretty much eradicated warfare as we know it by using her brand of robots as a stand-in for humans. Countries now fight with the robots instead of human soldiers, and thus war has pretty much became like one giant game, with no lives on the line, just money.

However, with all the armed forces disbanded, there's nothing stopping her from using the same robots to take over the world.

An engineer named Gear (Not pictured here) manages to salvage a basic Drone robot (the lowest class, the basic of the basic) and give it new life by removing a chip which inhibits emotions.

They're now faced with an impossible task- rising up against the hoard of robots and shutting them all down. But could they, just maybe, all be given the chance at life too? Could their potential be brought to light?

However, there are extra forces at play. A dreadful mutation has started taking place among the robots...corrupting them beyond any reason or life. The ferocious CORRUPTION is taking root.
