Description This is a picture of Chyros, a mighty lava monster that originally appeared in Kong: the Animated series as the final foe of Kong. I am using him in my new King Kong fiction, and thus he is shown here.
Long ago, ancient Atlantis was a thriving empire of magical and scientific might. Harnessing the primal powers of the Earth itself, the Atlantians became powerful Shamans, bendng the power of nature and ther planet itself to their own will. The Shamans constructed 13 magical relics that became known as the Primal Stones to house the raw magical powers of the Atlantians, vessles to channle the raw might of the elements. With these stones as focal points, they could undergo even greater feats of magical might.
But all this bending of the will of the planet took its toll on the land. Below the island, all the dark and foul energies assotiated with these magical rituals began to gather and fester, tainting the magma under the island, and pooling in a great Volcano that lay in the centre of Skull Island.
One day, a powerful Rouge Shaman discovered this tainted Volcano. Rather then fear the corruption in the land, the Shaman coveted the power that lay within it. Performing a ritual on the Lava, the Shaman sought to use the power to conquer Atlantis, and make himself King.
But the wrath of the land was too much, and it would not be bound. As the ritual was near completion, the Lava swelled upwards and began to take on the form of a body. Lashing out with great molten hand, the lava reached out and grabbed the power-mad Shaman, absorbing the man, Body and soul. The dark wrath of the lava merged with the corrupt soul of the Shaman, as the lava twisted and hardened into the form of the being that would be known as Chyros.

Chyros immediatly took action, using his great magical might to forge an army of magical beasts and wage war on Atlantis. Atlantis fought back, but they were no match for the wrath of the earth manifest. So great was the wrath of Chyros that he began to sink the contenant of Atlantis into the sea, with the capital city being all that was left, a land that became known as Skull Island.
With one last shot at Destroying Chyros, the Shamans gathered the 13 Primal stones together to form one last ritual against Chyros. They sent thier own champion against Chyros, thier Protector, Kong. Kong and Chyros fought in an epic battle that resulted in the defeat of Chyros, but barley. Taking advantage of his moment of weakness, the Shamans used the power of the Primal Stones to bind Chyros away deep within the Volcano that spawned him.
Though Chyros was defeated, the victory was a hollow one. Atlantis was destroyed, most of it sunk into the Sea. Many of the Shamans gave thier life to seal away Chyros, and their once great cities were in shambals. The Priaml Stones were lost to the People of Atlantis, for they neeeded to be sealed away to keep Chyros bound.
Scared by the great calamity that befell them, and without the Shamans or the Primal Stones to protect them, the people of Atlantis began to fear the beasts of Skull Island. They built a great Wall to protect themsleves from the beasts that dwealt on the other side, and they even began to fear thier own Protector, Kong. The inhabitants began to slowly decline in civilization and sanity intill you got the savage brutes met by the crew of the Venture in 1933. Only one small tribe of shamans stayed on the other side of the wall and keapt watch over the Primal Stones, keeping small smithins of Magical lore alive amongst the generations.
And thus Chyros was sealed away for Eons, until, at the end of the 20th cenury, a man, hungry for the power of the Primal Stones, found his way to Skull Island and stole some of them. With thier power no longer completing the seal, Chyros has awakened. Though not at Full Power, Chyros still causes much trouble for the new Kong and his friends as he seeks to succure his freedom and resume his revenge against the world.
Wow, long explination again, I appologize for that.
