Damnit, Komaeda.
I gotta say (having only read Oren's LP so far), I really enjoy how Hinata reacts to Komaeda throughout the game through the first couple chapters. It really really highlights how different he is at reacting to things than Naegi (who probably would be a lot more passive if there was a Komaeda-like guy during his situation).
Though in general I love the personalities in SDR2, I feel they're a lot more expressive.

Everyone in the cast gets tired of Komaeda's shit reeeaall quick. Eheheh, he's definitely... interesting, to say without details.
I adore Hinata, especially as the protagonist. While he's far from pessimistic (using that word since we had such an optimist protag previously) and is still generally pretty trusting, he's a refreshing main. I love Naegi too. Really, they're both good but they're suited for their cast. There's more, ah, positivity with the SDR2 cast? Everyone stands up to do what they can. Naegs was needed with the first since they had a more bleak/trapped outlook.
Oooh, I'm trying hard not to say much and that may be obvious. When you get farther in let's have some awesome discussions.

And yeah, I can sorta yell with the whole "do what they can" deal. SDR2 really has them highlight their specific talents and actually have them really taken an active part in what happens in the game, and I just love it. I loved the original cast too, but a lot of their talents went to waste and they didn't have as big an impact on cases.
I really wish the thread would update more. It'd be awkward to switch to one of the tumblr ones at this point, since I know one of the main ones just really summarizes stuff. ;;
