I have to say I am in awe how you achieved this doing a color study.
Particularly impressed with the warmth and cozy feeling it gives.
Not sure if it was intended but the eyes say beware.
The subtle lighting really pulls it all together nicely.

I had as a reference a photo, low resolution but, with colours that stay in minds. I changed the eyes, made them open looking straight at you. Subconsciously I made the 'beware' feeling in this study. I always regard foxes to be constantly alert and, attentive to their environments. They're small, lonely creatures with much bigger predators to compete with.
