I close my eyes, only for a moment, and the moment's gone
All my dreams, pass before my eyes, a curiosity
Dust in the wind, all they are is dust in the wind.
Same old song, just a drop of water in an endless sea
All we do, crumbles to the ground, though we refuse to see

Dust in the wind, all we are is dust in the wind

[Now] Don't hang on, nothing lasts forever but the earth and sky
It slips away, and all your money won't another minute buy.

Dust in the wind, all we are is dust in the wind
Dust in the wind, everything is dust in the wind.

Wow! That is incredibly good. How'd you capture that? The lighting is superb.

Digibug In reply to Karinta [2012-05-29 18:38:45 +0000 UTC]

Thank you.
First, I actually planned on a specific time of year and a specific date so that it was during the summer equinox when the sun would be the most direct overhead. Beyond that, I locked in a few settings, used a wide angle, vertically and played with shutter speeds. You only have a few brief moments to do your playing so you must plan ahead but I think I did alright.

Awesome photo, too bad the watermark kills it.

Yes it does but this place is full of thieves who love to claim things as their own.
Tks for comment.

I think I prefer this to the well known Peter Lik image from this canyon called 'The Ghost', well done Richard.

This is such an amazing photo, the colours, the motion so beautifully captured, everything is craftmanship here... I almost wish you had chosen to add your name to this photo instead of choosing a DA watermark because the watermark is so 'there' and distracting from the beauty you captured so marvellously.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Digibug In reply to GobboE [2011-08-19 00:07:27 +0000 UTC]

Thank you very much for the comments.
I however decided to use the Big There watermark some time ago when I started to find my work elsewhere on the web with others claiming it to be theirs.
This way....there is no mistake.
For those who have ruined it for others, I apologize that they forced me into this method of posting.
Again, thank you for the very generous comments.

GreyCorbie In reply to Digibug [2011-06-10 22:07:13 +0000 UTC]

But I thought only photographers could go there, and only through a lottery?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Digibug In reply to GreyCorbie [2011-06-10 22:57:00 +0000 UTC]

Nope,
Anyone can go for a regular tour then there are specific photography tours which give you more time and there is no lotter....just pay up.
I paid about $200US for the full day of Upper & Lower Antelope plus owl, rattlesnake canyons and one other which escapes my mind at the moment.
