Description The dress of terror is finally finished! I was so unpleased with the first version of this dress (underbust) that I totally cut it apart and had to wait some weeks until I had the guts to reassemble the altered version.
Anyways, seafoam green cotton velvet and quite a variety of lace. Some people prefer to only have one kind of lace on their dresses but with the dark fabric it's barely noticeable, so whatever.
Enjoy~

Amazing, it's like Scarlett O'Hara ripped down the curtains and made a cute 1950s cocktail dress. Well done!

This is beautiful! I've always loved dresses made of green velvet - making one myself at the moment - and this one has a very pretty design, too. Also, the use of several different laces is a great idea as long as they match (and the ones you've used look great together) since it makes the dress even more detailed and interesting.

this is a stunning dress. simple, but still every bit as elegant as loli should be.

and who says you can't use more than one type of lace? i kill my dresses with lace mix ups and people love em XDDD

I don't know what the first version looked like though I think this one is quite nice. Velvet always has some sort of medieval appearance to me, but I guess I'm just spoiled by movies and stuff
I realy like the design of the upper Part of the dress, that bow looks so nice ;D I also like the folds and the top of the skirtarea.
And you are right, the different laces are realy barely noticeable. After reading you comment I tried to spot them and it was quite hard. You only notice when you are actualy looking for it

Very pretty!! I would be afraid to even tackle velvet, I'd end up wasting the material. You are a far braver gal than me!

it wasn't so bad actually. i found it very helpful to zigzag around the edges of the pattern pieces before stitching them together to avoid fraying :3
