-insert my normal blend of tangents, praise, and awe-
also, uh, what's up with the sort of, uh, multiple wing thing?

Ooooh, I see the hand now. Yeah, that looks cool and symbolic and stuff. 'cause before it was just "Oh, Zombie and Hanna and Zombie has wings!" But now it's all the wings are symbolic and the hand is symbolic and oh my god everything is a freud and it's so pretty and run-on sentences. c:

SYMBOLISMMMM
ahaha I love how I can't help but throw pretentious symbolism all over everything I draw. ♥ I like the symbolism more than the art sometimes.
p.s.: "everything is a freud" is one of my new favorite quotes. I want to apply it to everything now.

You liking "everything is a freud" just made me giggle so much. I just threw that in there because I think that other people finding the symbolism in art is stupid. It's really just hit and miss if you didn't make the art yourself.
I.E: PAINT SPLASHES ON A CANVAS ARE PRETTY. THEY DO NOT REPRESENT YOUR MOM.
p.s.: Haha, yaaay. Whenever someone says something snooty and arrogant, just reply with "EVERYTHING IS A FREUD" and problem is solved!

Well, yeah, that's fun. But I hated it when my English teacher insisted that Bertha Rochester either symbolised the conflict between England and Ireland, or symbolised the dissatisfation of Charlotte Bronte with the treatment of women during that time. I mean, yeah, the Charlotte Bronte thing has some logic, but goddamnit, can't she be a character in her own right? And can't I decide what she symbolises?
Anyway, yes, lots of modern art is a freud. For example, the other day I was watching this documentary on art and up pops this artist who had taken a big canvas and painted a big, perfectly round red dot in the exact middle of it. And it sold for an ungodly amount and I went WHAT. If you wanted that, you could buy a Japanese flag and stretch it over some canvas.
Also, it represented the loneliness of something or other or some shit.

You've captured the characters so wonderfully. This image is beautiful, I like it rough. (The uh-style. don't read into that. Forget that we're on the internet.) I'm kind of floored by your talent.

SHADING~ So beautiful.
The only thing that I keep wondering though is if Hannah has crazy balancing skills. I haven't read the webcomic but judging by the turn in the upper body, you should at least be able to see some of his other leg or foot.

Thanks bby! :>
rofl I know. The point of the assignment was to fit shapes together, so I left all of this space open to hopefully squash something else into those spaces, but ehhh... didn't really happen. Thus, Hanna is a double amputee.
He lost so much in the war.

Maybe he's sitting on a perfect white box, so perfectly white against a perfectly white background as to have no shading what-so-ever.
Isn't there some huge irony that he lost limbs and not zombie...?

There is always an explanation. I was thinking m'self that he was in the process of Disapparating and had splinched himself, but that's just because I'm going back through Harry Potter. (hnnnngrarrrgh I love Harry Potter so much.)
It's almost as ironic as raaaaain on your wedding day, or a free ride when you've already paid; it might even be like ten thousand spoons when all you need is a knife.
p.s.: Misread your new sig as:
"... until we smash into the rainbow."
Which-- well, I think that's a pretty freakin' sweet interpretation, really.

XD maybe. So I guess his leg and arm are in a candy shop? Or someplace?
First two are just kinda sad, but the last one is just beautiful.
XD Did you know that rainbows used to be bad luck?

Maybe. Or maybe they're learning to be superheroes and learning to hate the homeless...-ness problem.
*puts on list for youtube*
I'll have to find the book I got it from later. Apparently though they're evil

Gaww, thanks Jules. ♥ You must've seen it before, though, haven't you? This is the sketchbook that I bring to school... then again, you're never in any of my classes, so maybe that doesn't help. >:T Mrrrgh.
The objective of this assignment was to fit together multiple objects and manipulate their negative space, but unfortunately I abandoned all sense of gravity when drawing this and left Hanna a little off-balance. XD; They were supposed to be standing back-to-back more, hmm... in spirit?
Either way, Hanna's got a pretty shaky support to his back. I predict clumsytimes immediately after this fit of epic posing.

The wings are making my inner ornithologist weep, but he's shut up by my inner artist, who's fangirling over the awesome shading. Was this graphite or charcoal or pure pixie dust and love...?
