There's no accounting for tasteless clients who can't spot winning art...
I've endured my share of these prima-donna jerks when I was a pro illustrator.
I normally pin their portraits on the wall and throw darts at their ugly mugs.
I think they reject an artist's hard work just because they can.
Hope you got a rejection fee for it... I charged 80% of the full fee and my original delivered back to my studio.
I know young inexperience artists who are used and abused by, so called, art agents and their dodgy clients.
I only got ripped off once by my art agent...
I never did work for them again.

Oh, don't worry, it was a full fee payment. Anyway, even if I feel a bit down every time a work gets rejected I try not to take it too personal. I mean, usually the people we work with have to deal with so much pressure from other departments and I do not want to add to that pressure. They are hiring me to do a job, and sometimes it gets complicated emotionally. But that's what personal work is for: forgetting about clients with different agendas and doing my own things.
