First in modern is probably the softest of all the variants of his character in all the possible Tower AU. There he's still a living person, mortal and feeling (not as much as you'd like, but still). And as is often the case with the living - no one pours out all his black soul on you from the doorstep.

PS I liked the monochrome paletted, so I decided to keep such a muted b&w palette just for this AU. I don't want to implement any particular plot in this AU. I just want to draw something abstract with feeling sometimes.
