Very beautiful picture and editing as well What did you do in Photoshop generally?

DianaGrigore In reply to ObiektywnaMigawka [2013-02-17 11:53:51 +0000 UTC]

Thank you. Well, minimized some patches of skin that were standing out, improved the quality of light/shadow to have a more shaped face, even out the skin tones and brighten the eyes a little. Oh and dimmed the background as it was too distracting. It was not something that I could say that it took a lot of hard work, like others.

Well, I am still in the process of learning. I use photoshop since 7 or 9th grade, or so. I've always used to do some experimenting with photomanipulation or other things. Tried different things, logos, etc.
About the retouch, you can find a lot of tutorials if you search for 'beauty retouch' or something like that on google. There are a lot of different ways to do this kind of editing, some are simple, and some are really time-consuming(but worth it)
I mostly use the 'dodge and burn technique' to retouch skin. You can search that on google, too. There are some videos on youtube, also.

Try moving your mouse over the photo twice a second.
WARNING: You are about to attempt self-hypnosis.

Now to more interesting things: This is great! I mean, the before looked pretty decent The after looks A-MA-ZING!
How much time did it took you to learn retouching?

DianaGrigore In reply to Zee-Who [2013-02-16 20:23:07 +0000 UTC]

Yaaay! I know, I know, I should have rotated the before one to match the after one
I am still learning it, I watch a lot of tutorials when I have time, discovering new things every day. I started to 'enjoy' doing this when I was in high-school, and my friends asked me to 'beautify' their photos. Of course, I did a really bad job then, but they liked it. Now I'm learning to do more high-end retouching, but for that I need quality images with good lighting setups
So I'm not that advanced, but I hope I'll manage a workflow that's mine some day.

The turning effect is awesome.
Wait, so this is not advanced? And there I was thinking I might have a shot at doing this one day.
Do you, by any chance have any links to such tutorials? I feel like trying something new I kinda got bored of sketching stuff.

Well, you can always type 'beauty retouch' in google. Or youtube. There are a lot of useful resources and tutorials and you'll sure find something. I did the same
After watching a tutorial, I tried to see what I understood.
