Description
This poor creature is stuck somewhere along the evolutionary chain between one thing and the next. More than likely descended from a reptilian creature and on his way towards bird-dom. His entire head has been encased in a leathery overlay and his eyes have all but been replaced with large smell sensors. Adding for a rather creepy look if you ask me. The entire crest is actually the encasement for not only the small brain but a huuuuuge network of smell sensors that help him tell everything from where he is to what might be on the lunch menu.

Omnivorous this Dactle Strider feeds on just about anything he can fit into his beak, making lunch a rather plentiful thing. Though if a few ground scurriers or dead snufflers were to make its way near his maw he certainly wouldn't complain. His wings are useless for flight, though can aid in very small amounts of gliding which resemble more long hops.
